2007 Zhejiang (Wenzhou) High-tech Achievements Trade Fair was held for three days in 2007, 310 experts from 94 higher education institutions and research institutes participated and exhibited their over 3000 latest scientific research achievements in such traditional industries as industrial electrical appliances, vehicle and motorcycle parts, pump & valve, hardware and such emerging industries as electronic information, biological medicine. Nearly 30,000 people visited the exhibition, and during the fair 141 contracts on technological cooperation were concluded between exhibitors and 130 enterprises for a total value of RMB 59.31 million.

 

Many academicians, presidents of famous universities, and experts attended the five high-level industrial development forums whose subjects are closely related to economic development of Wenzhou, including University Presidents Forum, Light Industry Development Trend and Strategy Forum, Independent Innovation Strategy Forum, etc. Also a signing ceremony was held during the fair for sci-tech cooperation between Wenzhou Municipal Government and Zhejiang University, which deepened cooperation between Wenzhou and higher education institutions, among others.
